Late Middle Gan
Late Middle Gan (近世贛語, Qin-si Gon-ngi) is a stage of the Gan language used during the Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty.
Some linguistic characteristics of late Middle Gan are[1][2]:
- Semi-coronal [l] differentiates from alveolar stops [n]
- Muddy consonants are merged with aspirated consonants
- Syllable coda [-m] disappears into [-n]
